Bio

I was born in the small town of Brenham, Texas. Since childhood, I was obsessed with drawing. Animals were my first models, both real (my menagerie of pets) and fantastic (dragons and such). While earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts, I studied drawing, painting, printmaking, art history, and interdisciplinary studies at Baylor University. I traveled abroad and lived for five months in Florence, Italy. There I took classes in cooking, Italian, and Renaissance art. Making the art pilgrimage to see the Byzantine mosaics of Ravenna was a highlight for me. After living in Baltimore, attending MICA as a Post-Baccalaureate student, I moved to Houston, TX, to earn my Master of Fine Arts from the University of Houston. 8 years ago, I moved to Denver, as the mountains were calling me. I currently live in Denver, and I enjoy hiking, walking, camping, reading, learning, exploring, and soaking up the “designer” seasons of Colorado.
